Donjon provides the in-house equipment, expertise, and personnel to be able to offer turnkey services on maintenance and navigation improvement dredging projects, specializing in both upland and sub-aqueous ocean disposal. The dredge Michigan, inspected annually by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), leads Donjon's fleet with a unique clamshell bucket/dipper stick capacity of 16 yd3.
Having recognized the heightening environmental concerns of dredging and the ever tightening industry standards for dredging equipment, Donjon has enhanced its fleet with newly built and acquired vessels, and upgraded its current equipment with state-of-the-art Digital Global Positioning Systems, electronic tide gauges, and government approved environmental buckets. Donjon's recent vessel acquisitions include the two (2) brand new remote controlled 4,000 yd3 split hull scows Witte 4001 and Witte 4002 (USCG and ABS inspected and classed) which are utilized in sub-aqueous disposal operations, a newly acquired fleet of 12 enclosed hopper scows utilized in upland disposal operations, and the newly assembled 15 yd3 mechanical dredge Newark Bay.
